The Block
About Project
Completed in 2013, The Block is part of one of the largest adaptive reuse in downtown Chattanooga’s history and is the largest downtown climbing wall complex in the U.S. Given Chattanooga’s growing reputation as one of the country’s premier centers for climbing, this exterior is an ideal fit for the city. With 5,000 s.f. of climbing space and 14 climbing lanes on the exterior face of the building, the climbing wall serves both as an architectural statement and a challenge to would-be climbers.
